This is true.
But maybe Unity has released 4.2 and the servers are getting pounded.

I am sure it is the announcement that the mobile stuff is now free… Unity needs to fix the asset store issue or it wont be the sales platform it wants to be… At least that’s the way I see it. Now that they made the mobile free. I think they finally got that they can make more money in asset sales then pro sales… Most users being in a “game developer as a hobby” category and all. Just my opinion to what I see happening, not based in any real statistics. Just a gut call.
A bit off topic but I’ve gotten to were I avoid browsing through the asset store due to the content even though when I do I am prone to impulse buy.
Unity and others might laugh and I’ve already suggested it but I want rating content filters for asset and Unity web site content itself. Also asset versioning in the asset store.
Make sections like Y, G, PG, PG13, R, X and the various international equivalents and sort them via tab interface according to those. I doubt Unity would publish bucknaked game models so its more than hypocritical to publish the gory zombie ghoul and say there is a market for it. They told me that after I requested the ability to turn off pictures of assets when browsing. That’s not a request to start publishing bucknaked models, BTW.

Somehow, pornographic violence is given a pass. ![]()
I would love a search box for the assets I had already bought… I have so many I can find stuff now…
Yes,too many assets and I’ve been pickier than most. And I want to delete assets I downloaded and don’t use or are obsoleted. They can be restored by tabbing back versions like backup SW if Unity has versioning in the asset store.
Well what I do is just star the assets I use and dont rate the rest that way I can find my assets by searching by rating Though I think having a search the assets you already own is crucial especially as your collection really grows.
Yes, I actually use less than 10.
Also to keep ‘updated’ I default sort by status.
Finally, Easy Water 2.5 has been trying to update to Easy Water 2.8.2 for several weeks now but the versions or something is wrong in the update. I’ve already submitted for as bug via the Unity Editor.
Since Unity V4.x. Yes… ![]()
Its probably more traffic and they need to upgrade there severs
I kinda doubt that, the downloads are pretty fast unlike the display and they consume a whole lot more bandwidth.
