Best Car Physics examples, tutorials and implementations

Unity 2.6. A new time, a new era. Yet, we don’t have any good examples of car physics on the engine. The most significant one is JCar. Let’s share some tuts, information and your car physics implementations!

Oh, c’mon guys.

There are a handful other than Jcar.

-Vehicle Example Project
-Some Cartoon Buggy project
-Racing game tutorial
-I think there’s one from the guy who did the dirt track game, with car parameters adjustable through a gui.

As I posted in another topic, I will repost it here  hope youll like that

This is what I got from official Unity people

so, cross fingers and hope

The car tutorial is coming.
I’m fairly sure you’ll like it too. For those of you that were on Unite: It was shown during Joes presentation.

I am not in a position to promise a date for the tutorial: there is a bit of tidying up to do on it still.

I’ve seen it during Unite. It looked super awesome, Console quality racing. Can’t wait to get it!

Can let out not the official version for especially requiring?

This is really good news. The Unity tutorials are great, new ones covering more topics will be brilliant.

The content for this tutorial has been created, but the tutorial itself still needs to be written. I can’t promise anything, but a rough estimate would be before the new year for it to be released.

Tutorial based on WheelCollider?

I can’t wait!!

^ no jumps?

Speaking of WheelCollider, am I missing something or is there no way to read the suspension spring deflection from that component?

I had to roll my own:

That demo is amazing!

Oooh!

i am really looking forward to this vehicle tutorial! though i hope the described techniques will not only work with racing cars but also other kinds of vehicles.

any news about this? will it be released this year or will it take longer?

any news?

:?:

I don’t think the developers are working to any particular deadline on this, but it probably won’t be much longer now.

Can’t wait to check these out.
