Hi!

What version of C# unity(3.4.2) uses?? 3.0 or 4.0??

I'm certain it's 3.0 or thereabouts. Certainly not 4.0 as that would be .NET 4 and I don't believe Unity is there yet.

Subzul, technically Unity uses Mono, which is the open-source .NET framework.

Current version is 2.10.6

Depends on what features of C# you’re using; the C# from .NET 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 are almost the same thing, most of the new features are implemented via the compiler.

I believe Unity is using Mono 2.8 now (it was released in October 2010). Here’s a handy-dandy feature compatibility chart:

As of July 11, 2017, Unity also supports C# 6. Check out the official blog post on it.
