Hey Folks, i,ve been working with unity a bit and i love it, the ui and program itself is cool and im getting the hang of it, But…
I feel whats holding me back is the Coding in C#
I have not coded before and i honestly dont know what im doing, i know you can get to code and learn som stuff by just watching youtube and the learn section here on unity, but what im really interested in is the How’s and why’s and when’s…
I want to understand the code and when to use what and why, not just type something that works because someone else said to type it…
Im really interested in the explaing behind the code, as i feel you dont always get that?
I guess my question is really where to start and focus, in unity or outside? With C# or something else first?
Best Regards me
I’m also new and I’ve been using the Learn game development w/ Unity | Courses & tutorials in game design, VR, AR, & Real-time 3D | Unity Learn
Tutorials. I had never done any coding of any type before starting these and they are step by step instructions on making games with unity using coding. One thing I will say is do exactly what it says at start watch the tutorial video then do it. If you can’t remember the code after watching watch again as I’ve done mistake of just copying it and you never remember the code you use that way. The tutorials get progressively more detailed til you make a proper game.
This course is the holy grail for me in terms learning to develop. It’s incredibly well presented and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Probably the reason I am still coding today.
