Hello everyone! My name is Bruno Mikoski, I’m the lead developer at Monster Juice! We make one plugin to export our gui from PSD directly to N-GUI in Unity3D! And we want some beta tests to make this tool even more useful to anyone!
Check the video of the Alpha Version and HOW TO:
Last version: (Alpha)
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0Bx3gW3IbiR_sdVlBRDlkTHJBaUE
Contents:
The Template PSD for try and understand the prefixes
The Javascript to Photoshop
The Monster Importer to Unity3D
*You need the NGUI to use this Tool, avaliable here:
http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/114833-NGUI-(Next-Gen-UI)-demo-amp-final-feedback-request
* Features
Create your gui entirely in PSD and get the exact same result in Unity3D
Don’t waste more time adjusting positions!
Create objects objects with empty game objects for anchors
Up to 10x faster than create gui by hand
Update the positions by changing the PSD
Automatically create Widgets based on the prefix on PSD (like “btn” for the ImageButtons);

Will this work with Photoshop Essentials or Gimp?

I’m not quite sure about that, but after we finish the work with the Photoshop, is just a little more of work to make this work with another programs.
Seems like this might have great potential… will give it a shot too… will give feedback if I do happen to get to it. TY very much.

Thanks and very nice work.
Would love to beta test this - it looks like it will make my UI frustrations evaporate away
I also wonder if I could use this for doing a fighting game HUD… such as lifebars… this should make my life easily.

The alpha is already available for a try!
We are add everything the NGUI can do, so such a thing definitely gonna be available.
Thanks
Please we need some feedback if work, and if everthing is clear to everyone!
I’d like to give it a go. Will be testing on iOS pro and OSX. Thanks!

For those with Photoshop Elements, this is not compatible because it relies on layer groups. Unfortunately Photoshop Elements does not support layer groups.
Even though I can’t use it right at the moment, thanks for your work anyway. It looks great. Maybe sometime in the future it will be tweaked to support other software.
