Finally finished my first game! Fight the Virus out now for FREE!

After 5 long months of learning Unity and experimenting, I have finally finished my first game. I am very happy (and a little scared) to present Fight the Virus. Its only for Android right now but Kindle Fire is coming soon and hopefully iOS will come later. The project was maybe a little too ambitious for my first game (especially sense I’m a one man team) but in the end I’m happy I challenged myself.

About The Game:

Fight the Virus is an arena style FPS with simple yet challenging levels that are great for both long and short play sessions. The levels and the game modes were built for mobile in mind.

-Story-

The Flu Virus and his gang are attacking the body! It’s your job as a white blood-cell to defend the body and eliminate these threats! Use your rapid fire Vitamin-C cannon to blast your way through 7 unique arenas. Test your skills in 3 challenging game modes. Will you be able to destroy these viruses or will you end up catching the Flu?

Game Modes:

  • Survival: In Survival your only goal is to stay alive as long as you can. Collect clocks to refill the countdown timer. Destroy enemies to rack up your score. There is also a challenge version of survival which only spawns hard enemies.

  • Virus Elimination: In Virus Elimination your goal is to find and kill 15 enemies as fast as you can. The timer starts as soon as the level loads. Can you beat your best time?

  • Medicine Run: Medicine Run is the most challenging game mode. The arenas in Medicine Run are built like closed mazes. Somewhere in the maze will be 2 medicine bottles that appear in a random spot. It’s your job to find both bottles as fast as you can. Like Virus Elimination, you will be going for the fastest time.

-Please keep in mind that this game will not run smooth on older or weak phones. My main testing device was a Nexus 4 which was able to run this game at a smooth 50-65fps (depending on how hot the device gets). I also tested the game on a Nexus 7 (2013) tablet and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (the game was not very smooth on the Samsung tablet but it still worked).

If you like the game please post a review. Thanks for reading.

Screens:

Of course comments and criticism are welcome. Now that I am more familiar with Unity, I hope to start making my next game very soon. This time it will just be a side scroller (sense they work better on mobile)
