Hi everyone
I just wanted to show you all my new game 3-2-1-Zombies! which I just released on Google Play. The game is also in review for iOS so should be released shortly (fingers crossed - I’ll update the thread when this happens).
Here’s a release trailer to give an idea of the game:

Overview
3-2-1-Zombies! is designed with an emphasis on creating an addictive and challenging runner with unique controls. The game leverages gyro controls on compatible devices to provide players with a frantic, fast-paced experience that will get the adrenaline flowing and keep you pushing that little bit further each run.
Run For Your Life
Dodge, bounce, stumble and dash along the neon streets as you race to escape the zombies snapping at your heels.
Beat Your Best Distance
How far can you get as the game gets faster and faster, and the zombie hordes accumulate behind you?
Buy Power-ups To Give Yourself An Edge
Collect coins and gems to spend on power-ups that you can use to help your runs. Take along some squeaky chew toys to distract the zombies, some fresh new trainers to maintain your momentum, or a coin frenzy to help rack up the cash.
Features
- Tilt based controls (on supported devices, with touch alternative).
- Quirky, low-poly graphics.
- Procedural tracks; no 2 runs are the same.
- Exciting power-ups, from chew toys to coin frenzy.
- Easy to learn, nightmarish to master.
- Catchy, energetic retro soundtrack.
Development
I developed the game in Unity over around 5 months (2.5 months while working on other projects, and 2.5 months full scale development). All of the code, art and animation was done by myself, and the audio was bought from a royalty free site called Robot Sound. The plugins I used were:
- Full Inspector (very useful for quickly inspecting complex behaviours without writing too much editor code)
- PlayerPrefs Elite (useful for testing and securing game settings and data)
- Unity Purchasing
- Unity Ads
External tools I used were Photoshop CS5, Autodesk 3DS Max (Would have preferred Maya, but I have a license for Max 2013) and Audacity.

In the coming weeks I plan to add leaderboards and everyplay, and add some more varied levels to the game. After that I will look at ways to bring the game to Windows Phone
If anybody wants to give me some feedback, or has any questions then I’d love to hear from you.
Thanks
Chris
