Ginger

Hello everybody,

Let’s talk about poetry. Fews weeks ago I was reading again some poems by William Blake, and particularly one, called “The night”. I was looking for some inspiration and ideas for a new character I’m working on. So , why not to put some poetry in a video game ? I would like to introduce to you Ginger. Ginger is little animal-girl. She’s born one night from a magic spell of an old indian sorcerer. Ginger lives in the forest.
She understand every trees, speak with animals, pray the spirits of the deep forest. She’s got magic abilities, and talks to spirits.

Ginger is an adventure game project, mixing 2D and 3D. At this point i’m working on a first chapter, which is not an action chapter but a way to show you the universe of Ginger.

I will tell you more in the futur.

Peace.

You can see this magic little girl moving for the first time on your screen here (I will keep this link updated in the futur to show you the work in progress) :

awesome style! I love the character. It looks hand drawn. It’s overall a really cool idea. It seems really unique. Can’t wait to see where this goes

Hi Eteeski,

thank you
Yes, I try to find a style between hand draw and something else (well ? …I still don’t know what means “something else” yet… ). It’s a lot of work on photoshop. Ginger will be my “big” game in terms of time and effort. I’m looking for a good way (on terms of game play) to interact with nature (trees, animals) and I’m still working on the story line.
