Graphical Tablets

hello, can anyone recommend me some graphical tablets to buy not too expensive and not too small.

I though buying this one:

I had Wacom bamboo pen and touch, Was beautiful. 80gbp from PC world

The specs on that are quite good for the price, I don’t know enough to speak about the quality.

Wacom are by far the best. If you can’t afford the extravagant pricing of a new one I would highly recommend ebay or craigslist if your in the US. Anything from Intuos 2 and up use USB and are compatible with Win7. Sometimes you can pick them up from $40 in great condition.

Wacom tablets are very well made with no moving parts, I only recently discarded my old mid 90’s tablet because it used a serial port and wasn’t supported when I upgraded to Win7. Bought a 8x6 Intuos 3 on craigslist for $100,

The biggest difference between the 2 and 3 are extra buttons and more variety of tip options. (springy flexing tips as opposed to rigid tips). My old 90’s tablet also had a lower res, but the main thing was pressure, tilt doesn’t really get used well all that often.

I really hope that the recent deluge of touch screen tablets and phones will result in the cintique tablets with built in screen coming down in price within the next couple of years.

still got my 10 year old wacom, it hasn’t died yet but its super crusty and smelly…

Same here … Wacom A4 (XL) Intuos 2. Been usind it for about 8 years now. I’m starting to work through the protection layer but the tablet iteself still works like on the first day. I’ve tried other tablets at some point. One was an Apitek a fried of mine bought and I can’t remember what the other one was. Still: they all didn’t feel so right. Also many others still have batteries inside the pen.

If you can afford it: Wacom. I would not buy anything else.

And: no. I am not getting paid by them to say that unfortunately

I used to go thru 2-3 laser mice from Genius in a year, you can’t get a decent mouse where I live, and I finally bought a cheaper mouse 1 1/2 years ago thru amazon and had it shipped, I’ll never buy Genius products ever again… they’re built like crap, and behave like crap… get a more basic model of the Wacom tablet, a bamboo is great… you’ll still have it in 6 months from now… hell, in 5 years from now it will still be good…

adesso stuff is “ok” and the price is definitely low.

It compares to Wacom’s old graphire series - so they have pressure sensitivity and nothing more.

Would be this tablet good, its not large i only need it for making textures??

Guys- why is everyone wasting their money on them expensive iphones n wacoms?? when it comes to graphics tablets I got a 9x12 genius Pensketch for around 100$- the wacom alternative is many times the price

Wacom Bamboo Medium didn’t cost much more either and thats a pretty large one already

And you use them cause they are the top in the industry. Others can work too depending on the usage case, but they are really worse to much worse (there used to be 1 other creator of such tablets and pens which came close but that was prior the current generation where wacom is definitely ahead). The precision and resolution of wacom is beyond its competition

they are not bad but i heard that lots of peoples have problems using them with photoshop like freezing, unresponsive only some lucky guys recive the proper working ones.

Wacom tablets are the only ones where the pens dont require batteries.

i have a wacom intuos 4 medium and im loving it so far (havnt long had it) the quality is great.
