How can I create a compelling case for Unity and promo games

I work with a few marketing agencies, and i would like to approach them to consider making some promo games with Unity.

Currently they use flash, they are aware of Unity but based on my hint-dropping they seem to be adverse to the idea of trying to get people to download the web plugin.

Now I know Unity is great and the ability to get promo games on iPhone/android is a great plus.

I was wondering if anyone has come across this and know how I can present Unity in its best light - and address any problems with its implementation.

Solving this would allow me to create commercial games, and give me time to create indie games

Thanks for the responses
Compiling a list of case studies
CNN Deepwater Horizon
Marvel Ironman 2
DR Pepper Ironman 2
Release the Kraken
Tron
Robin Hood (BBC)

CNN and the BBC have both used it. Also, you could offer the games as standalones on client sites.

I would say sell them on the idea of what Unity can do that Flash can not, and that is 3d. Just look at the tron game done in unity 3d

Or how about release the Kraken for clash of the titans.

“Just look at the tron game done in unity 3d”

Nice little game!

Tell them about how you can have multiplayer on different browsers/website/machines.

one on a mac
one on a pc
one on facebook
one on your website

All playing together.

Didn’t I read somewhere that Firefox now comes with built in support for Unity so no more plug-ins? Or was that Safari or was that both or am I completely mistaken?

Something about Firefox having built in support for Unity which means Unity has some form of Unix support or something along those lines…

You are not completely mistaken, but maybe slightly confused.

It was Chrome: http://blogs.unity3d.com/2010/05/19/google-android-and-the-future-of-games-on-the-web/

Tiger Woods PGA Tour online and Need For Speed World both use Unity.

I run google chrome and I still need the web player.

Because it hasn’t been released yet. It’s an upcoming feature.

thanks for the responses guys, lets see how i go next week when i push it forward
