Indexer can't find method get_fontSharedMaterials

I keep getting these warnings thrown by the search engine when it’s rebuilding the index:

[Worker1] The method get_fontSharedMaterials was not found on Rank. This property will not be indexed.

[Worker1] The method get_fontSharedMaterials was not found on Points. This property will not be indexed.

[Worker2] The method get_fontSharedMaterials was not found on CoinText. This property will not be indexed.

Hundreds of them. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Which exact version of Unity 6.2 are you using?

@Laicasaane We’re using 6000.2.10f1.

Have you used the version before that, which is 6000.2.9?

In the release notes for 6000.2.10f1, it states that searcher package has been upgrade from 4.9.2 to 4.9.3. I suspect it might has some bugs in 4.9.3. You can try downgrading it to 4.9.2.

Hi @VoodooDetective ,

this seems to be a customindexer from one a package (since we do not have customindexer for fontSharedmaterial in the unity core).

Can you paste the Packages/manifest.json of your project? I will look at the various core packages we have to see where this error is coming from.

Does this happen on a project that is shareable (ex: one of the unity template project) or does this come from your own mega project that I can’t get access to?

Thanks for the feedback,

Seb

Ok I found the culprit. There is a custom indexer in the URP that isn’t able to fetch said method. Obviously it should fail silently and NOT print something on the console.

I will fix this ASAP.

Thanks for reporting.

The bug has been officially logged and will be fixed shortly. Thanks for the feedback.

Hey, I think we met when I worked at Unity!

Anywho, thanks for the fix!

It is surely possible. I am from the Montreal office.

Though I must admit your alias (VoodooDetective) hides really well your real identity

Oh right haha! My name’s Eric Fulton and I think I came to bug you when I was trying to help folks use the search engine instead of several other tools for examining lights in scenes.

Long ago. Anyway, thanks again
