Each color is a team and weapons can only kill the team of the same color. A certain velocity must be reached to kill a character. NPCs currently search for weapon, then attack moves to the NPC with the same color as their weapon.
I definitely want to add blood and guts at some point to spice up the smashing. With 30 characters I’m getting a steady 70 FPS with 8 GB of ram with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760. I tried 60 characters and still 70 FPS. 90 characters got me 30 FPS though.
I like the idea that the main fun from this game will be from the different ways you can smash the polygons, so an item that turns you into a tornado is a great suggestion, thanks mate.
I improved the physics by a ton so that there are no cheating (like setting velocity directly, or any of the transform component values). The NPCs don’t do a lot because I haven’t enabled them to bend down and reach for the weapons yet. Let me know what you think!
It’s actually extremely simple: all I have is a ragdoll with a constant force component on the head and pelvis joint, head force goes up, and pelvis force goes down. Then I rotate the pelvis using torque and move the pelvis using forces.
Nice mechanic. My only suggestion is to make multi-player.
Helping each others to achieve some goals together.
Should be very fun to play, streamer might play your game live too.
You can even make this into party game like Gang Beasts as well.
