Manual and Scripting API:

Sometimes I work off line in places where no internet is available.

Why isn’t the User Manual and the complete Scripting API data base available for download. There does not seem to be any type of file weather it be a word doc or a kindle product.

How can I solve this problem.

It is available off line. Its just not installed by default due to download size.

To install, run the Unity installer (when online), then select the offline docs option.

Unity provides download links in the release notes for each major release.

Alternatively you can use an offline reader like Zeal (Windows and Linux) or Dash (macOS).

Since we can download the documentation, which is apparently the doc, I always wondered why we couldn’t access it by using “Ctrl + '” when we work off line. Consequently, I no longer download it.

If you don’t mind having to rely on a third party browser extension you could give this solution a go.
