Hello, Before the last update i know there is a bug when you select UI action map from inspector and its was not saved, now it’s solved
But now, when you create new action maps, it’s not saved too ![]()
I don’t appear in the inspector for selecting input action
If you relaunch the launcher, the action map you created disappear from the list
Not present in 6.3.2f1, but present in 6.3.5f2/6f1
Please send this in via Help => Report a bug. Confirming it in a blank project would help rule out any conflicts within the project (ie editor scripts that might interfere) and speed up submission.
I’ve done it, the bug is under review i got a mail, but i don’t had access to the request, it’s strange
I am seeing the same issue as well on 6000.3.6f1.
Pretty much a new project where I am exploring the Input System for the first time.
I have also submitted a bug about this issue.
For a little more info, I attempted to change the default mapping in a brand new project and encountered the same issue. It keeps the changes for that editor session, but on reopening the editor, the changes are gone.
Still no news? please it’s like a big issues. I can’t map any keybind to my game, How am I supposed to move forward?
Bugs can take a few weeks to even start the process sadly. We would need a massive influx of reports to get it super fast. Hoping it gets resolved too but, I have just gone back to the old input manager and kept these changes on another branch. Id recommend the same (even though that is annoying.)
Hey! I did find that you can force a save to the asset. So I got it all working in my project today. Its a bit annoying but workable.
-
Open the Input Action Map editor from Project Settings.
-
Double click the Asset in the line here
-
Click “Save Asset” in the basically duplicate window that opens.
Auto-Save works but it was triggering way too often as I was editing the map. So I just manually clicked save.
rolling back to Input System 1.15.0 solves this in the mean time!
