Hi @tayl0r We have implemented and tested it on Unity 5.6.1 However, If you could try our Free Pack here https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/96008 on Unity 5.2 and if it works, then our Fork Plugin will work on this version of Unity as well. Let us know if the free pack doesn’t work on Unity 5.2 and we will see what we can do for you then to support it Thanks

Will this create native particle systems? If not, can this handle collisions to mesh and terrain? Does it need image effect on camera to create reflection?
The plugin does not create native particle system. The particle effects are made in Fork Particle Studio Editor and run as is in Unity. The effects currently do not support collision and image effects.
Hi – I really like the idea of Fork Particle, and the effects are of high quality.
However, the editor leaves something to be desired. I’m using the unity build, version 6.5.608 – saving the project file causes the editor to crash no matter what. It complains of an access violation if I try to debug it. I’ve tried this on multiple machines. To reproduce, create any particle system and save the project.
Do you know what’s going on?
Is there a more recent build?
Alternatively, is there a version of the editor for a Mac? It’s a serious problem if you can’t save the project…
I made the mistake of buying this recently only to discover that the free editor cannot be downloaded, that there is no form to request an evaluation copy, that emails are no longer being answered and that the last activity on the website regarding blog entries seems to be in November last year. Without access to the free editor this asset is useless, not to mention there seems to be no support at all now. If all the items advertised in an asset are not packaged with the asset or at least available from a seperate locked download on the Unity asset store then assets like this should not be sold.
By the way Unity will not provide a refund for this asset and the seller is unreachable. If you are considering purchasing it then check the website and download the standalone editor first or try and fill in the evaluation copy request. None of these links, including the ones given above to the editor work, which should help make the point that you should not buy this asset. As far as I can tell that website is a zombie site, it is there solely to keep on ripping people off. No doubt the particles that come with the package do work - but if you are buying this asset to get the built-in behaviours and all the stuff listed on the asset store page you will be disappointed.
