If this thread and like… all your other threads are any indication, the only things you’ll take into account are the things you already agree with. Work on that first. Games can wait.

Different paradigm. Indie devs are like participants or victims in a survival game, everybody should be armed to teeth. So I do care different things including some not welcome things.
Yes. Literally that is what I said. You did it.
Ignoring the advice of indie devs who came before you is not a new paradigm, it’s total nonsense.
why you get that conclusion
By literally watching you do it in this thread and your other thread and a thread before that.
It’s too hurry. I like to check different opinions.
Thanks for your feedback. So in this thread, I don’t agree with Kiwasi’s reply.
The reason: There are some indie FPS games making success, especially “witch hunt” made by Unity, many models are from asset store. There is a niche.
I also don’t agree with this reply. Survival game, my definition for survival game is like “7 days to die”.
I also don’t agree with Ryiah’s reply. I think every genre is highly competitive. If I can add something unique(very difficult) to the game, then the result is very different.
Is it though? Call of Duty has had at least fifteen games in the franchise and has made over $15 billion. Yet each new game in the series brings only minor differences.

It’s not alone in the industry either. EA Sports has several series that to this day continue to see a new releases on a yearly basis yet with only minor differences.

I could very easily list more franchises that consist of regular releases with minor differences but you should hopefully understand the point I’m making here. Players enjoy games with mechanics they’re familiar with. Being unique might help you if you stumble upon an idea no one else has thought of but it might just as easily hurt you.
Sure. You are good at googling so your data are correct. They will sell 5 or 6 million per copy. If I sell only 0.1% quantity with 1/10 price, it still can cover cost.
Anyway, your reply let me re-evaluate the competition, maybe much higher than my thought. I want to add some small gameplays (farming, fishing, building, billiard, crafting )to it.
Why would somebody want to fish or farm in a game with the pacing of an FPS?
I don’t konw. But I know I a lot people like fishing in FarCry5, no farming in this game.
If you don’t know, don’t do it. There’s a difference between designing a game and throwing things against the wall to see what sticks.
Fish can be made food, and the player has a hunger attribute. I will add a fishing demo later.

I have to explain what I mean:
I don’t know why needing fishing in a game with the pacing FPS.
I need to add fishing to my game because fish is a useful resource.
but why you need fish in fps game?
why does fish become useful resource in fps game?
in metro you have army grade bullets as important resource in the game, not just you can load rifle with it(duh), but also it act as game currency that you can trade with guns or other low grade bullet (army grade bullets become rare because of the apocalypse)
I have to add survival gameplay like food, crafting and so on. I will upload a prototype demo to show this.
