Show Loading Indicator - new Unity 3.5 iOS feature?

Hi all,

In the release notes for Unity 3.5, it states the following:

Added “Show Loading Indicator” option, to show spinner when loading game.

Anyone know how to enable this feature, cannot find in manual or on forums or UnityAnswers.

Thanks in advance!

It’s a checkbox in the Player Settings under Resolution and Presentation. Shows a spinner on the Unity logo while app loads.

OK, thanks, found it, and it works well!

Does it work when you use resources.load as well?

Not tried that, just checked the option in Player Settings, and selected one of the three dropdown options, white, grey or large white progress spinner.

Only works when loading unity the first time. Doesn’t show for Resources.Load, or in LoadLevel, so its next-to-useless except for lazy people wanting something for the first load who dont break it up with splash screens. Could be improved, so its back to prime I suspect.

on Android it is shown on level loading
also - in 4.0 you can start it from script
