Size of Unity UI

Hello there,

I am finally growing old, and as Monitors grow bigger, but resolutions grow higher and higher I am getting Problems reading all the small stuff.

How can I change the size of unitys UI.

I searched and I found a 10000+ answers on how to do it for UIs created with unity, but I mean the size of alle the fonts and stuff in unity itself.

Maybe I just overread it…

thanks in advance,

Jens

Edit: Oh, in the Unity editor itself?

Uh, doesn’t look like it’s supported: https://feedback.unity3d.com/suggestions/change-font-size-in-unity-editor

Good old Windows has your back

In Windows 10, go to Settings app > System > Display and then zoom to 125%. While this makes everything on your screen bigger (and you might have to restart your PC), it is perhaps the only solution as zooming Unity’s UI is impossible at the moment.

As sad as ist is  I have a mac.
And the rest of my Fonts is already set bigger which does not affect unity

But still thanks for the answer!

Ouch! Too bad. In Windows, that zoom setting makes everything larger, but you have a mac :frowning:
I always thought Macs were old people’s computers, but how do they expect people with not-ideal eyes to use them? Oh Apple… that’s why.

This doc does seem to have a lot of stuff about making stuff bigger on Macs: http://www.howtogeek.com/200450/give-your-eyes-a-break-by-making-everything-in-os-x-bigger/

Hopefully it will help a bit.

EDIT: Macs can screen zoom, I don’t know how.

Don’t be absurd. This has nothing to do with Apple; it’s Unity that doesn’t support larger fonts. Macs do of course support screen zooming. Also, the Mac version of the Unity editor supports retina displays, whereas the Windows version does not. Please leave platform wars out of this forum, thank you. Sorry, based on his reply I assumed that Macs didn’t have screen zooming. My solution was to zoom the screen, to which he replied:

Since I’ve never used Macs, I assumed that they couldn’t zoom the screen.
