I made a pause menu with some animation when toggled.
First time I pause my game, I can see the animation is still working but on the second time or so, it won’t animate. I noticed that the clip is never refreshes, I guess?
I am using Unity 5.6

I found a fix for this. It seems Unity doesn’t reset the animation state itself on 5.6 update. So just reset it yourself.
Just add this line of code:
myAnim = GetComponent<Animator>().Play("AnimationState", -1, 0f);
It may not make sense, but as @Avietry said, the parent would effectively be the world/scene. Making localPosition effectively the same as transform.position. Try it yourself, print the localPosition and transform.position of a gameObject without a parent, as it moves, the localPosition changes. void Update(){ Debug.Log("transform.position="+transform.position+", localPosition="+transform.localPosition); }
Hi ![]()
Do you use an Animator to control your animation ? Can you give us more info on how you activate your animation ?

thanks did not think of Group code, in this case I could not think of grouping which would work around adding rigidbodies to the kids after moving the fam together though.
