How come when I check for updates using the currently installed 5.3.2f1 version of the editor, the system says that it is up to date?
Why doesn’t it update me to 5.3.4? Or at least let me know that there’s a new version?
Can I just install the 5.3.4 version over 5.3.2f1?

The update notification in the editor doesn’t immediately show new releases, especially for dot releases. They give it some time to make sure there aren’t any major breaking issues. But yes, you could download and install 5.3.4 over the top of (or even alongside) 5.3.2.
