I was reading on the apple submission guide and came across this,
“iPhone apps must also run on iPad without modification, at iPhone resolution, and at 2X iPhone 3GS resolution”
Does this mean that my iPhone game has to re size to iPad when some runs it? I made an iPhone and iPad project because certain graphics don’t look correct at 960x640 as they do on 1024x768. Can anyone explain this?
it means if you make an iphone only game, it should work fine on an ipad and iphone 4 (which could spell trouble if your app is ipad only). If your app is ipad only, that is also fine but you need to choose different export options from unity to set it up (arm 7 and ipad only).
If you have an iphone game, which is made in unity, then it will automatically run fine on ipad, usually.
My heart almost jumped out of my chest.
Submitted an iPhone only game a week ago (even though iPad is supported in code but not done with iPad 3-graphics yet) - and had not tested the iPhone version on iPad. I use Screen.width alot to configure my GUI elements.
Thank god. Screen.width returned as 960 on the iPad :>
