Hi
Can someone tell me why is it happend? This morrning allmost all of my packages has been Dsabled with no explanations…and 4 of them has been accepted just a day ago and now they and even more is offline. All made with Unity 5…and has no errors. I just dowloaded 5.2 and check them all and all works fine.
Help someone?
You have more than 4 assets on the asset store without any prior forum posts?
Are you providing another avenue of communication with your customers instead of a proper forum thread where customers can give feedback, praise and ask questions?
Please - which assets are yours, and which are disabled?
I used to got 18 Packages in asstes store (now its 6 left)
Im helping customers at the asset reviews page also support email and i gave my personal email addres to
My publisher ID Wonder Games
And here is what got disabled on screen shot bellow
Alright that’s fair. Good to know your providing proper customer service.
Do your character assets have animations applied to them?
The creation dates look a little suspicious. Creating quality characters takes time, but you’ve been able to publish 3-4 per month for the last couple months. That’s a very high output for quality authentic characters.
Oddly - and this might be just my eyes playing tricks on me - your Brother’s Knights character looks eerily similar to the default ‘free’ Mixamo Fuse male character. I’m not saying you borrowed the default ‘free’ Mixamo Fuse male character and modified it, but if you did, and then modified it further to create the other male characters you released after that, that could be a reason they pulled all your packs.
Care to share some images/videos of the other male character packs you released after Brother’s Knights?
Looks like the elf and the witch are authentic characters you created, so I don’t know why they would of pulled those.
Unity sent out a recent email letting all asset publishers know they would be pulling certain assets from the store that did not have any turn over. Since you are an asset publisher - you received this email.
Has any of those character packs ever sold?
I’d email Unity if I was in your position. Maybe they can give proper feedback on why your assets were pulled.
Two weeks ago, registered Asset Store Publishers received an e-Mail regarding a ‘Store cleanup’ and ‘very dated Assets removal’.
Maybe this just kicked in? I would, however, suggest you to contact assetstore[at]unity3d.com for clarification.
I thought this also, though interestingly - checking the image he provided, his assets are ALL new. This year new.
Hi again and thx for answeing
Of cause i contact them they just answer today (The assets on your publisher account have been taken down due to EULA violations with Mixamo) and you right about Fuse…but im only taking bodys and change them all clotch im making in diferent soft and then attach them to fuse bodies. I even contact Mixamo menager and ask about commercial use and they told me that (To answer your question - yes, all content is royalty free) about 3-4 modles in month… yes thas because im working every day since this Dicember on thous Models. Is there any sulution for me? Idont know why Assets Store wont help me with that we’r bought making money…They could just tell that change somthink and not j(ust you can use Mixamo)…Its free and Mixamo allowed to use in commerce. If they think im not doing anythink …just taking READY modles they wrong im working hard to get results. I will provide some Screen shot and Video bellow.
SI-FI Hunter took me 8 days
Lostin blizzard(Char + Scripts) took me 12 days
Wizard witch took me 6 day(bad cloth simulation but its only on video. pack is fine)
im showing my last modles that has been accepted and next day Desabled with rest asstes
And yeah Evrythink was selling good for starter…this month 300$ all ready.
But thats the end of all i guess(
Wait. You took Fuse characters and using them just adding clothing that you personally made?
That is wrong. The Fuse characters are free commercial for you to use in your project. Not resell them. Which it sounds like your doing.
If that is the case then yes you violated the terms and the asset store is correct in removing them.
It is better to make your own models and clothing and then you will be fine. You just can’t take someone else’s models and modify and resell.
You’re saying that you don’t know why the asset store is not helping you solve this, but you received a clear reply from them.
"Of cause i contact them they just answer today (The assets on your publisher account have been taken down due to EULA violations with Mixamo "
So what other way can they put it? it’s CLEAR!
and when you asked Fuse manager if you could use these models for commercial use, how did you write it?
I know your English is not very good so I expect something like this "hello fuse can use i fuse commercial use? I can?
please let us see this email. I’m pretty sure if they knew you planned to use them to resell they would say noooo.
My english is not that bad.
I just interested in 2 things. First… Why asset store keep accepting packages and only when i made 18th they turn them all
And 2nd what a big deal to take a clean human model? every 3d soft has it (Blender , Cinema4d , 3dmax) I see a huge difference between Clean human model (which noone needs) and fully dressed character with several types of textures and weapons + demo scenes…And you telling me “Wait. You took Fuse characters and using them just adding clothing that you personally made?” Just,???
Someone must have reported it that is why now it happened. And yes you can’t take someone else’s stuff add to it and resell it.
Let’s put it this way. You made a game that was free. I took it added a hat and jacket to your character and then sold it. Thus making me money. Does that sound fair?
Well …
Of course everyone has their own opinion but my personal attitude to this…Im sure that if i decided to make somthink FREE…doesn’t matter if its only a Hammer model or Pack with 10 Characters i wouldn’t be care …when and where someone use it.
I personally would only be glad that if someone finds it handy for ther own projects
Ok well that is you. Companies frown on taking their stuff and reselling even if it is free stuff.
If you don’t get it, understand it, or think everything that is free you can do what you want, then sorry you need to study up on trademarks, and copy laws.
Yp… Thx for all our replys
sure i understand everythink i just thought i could change somthnik)
Hey Unity_3d1 - I’m glad you found the answer you were looking for.
Your actually lucky Mixamo doesn’t sue you.
And your also very lucky Unity doesn’t ask for refunds for all the money you fraudulently earned from those assets which were not your own creations. Unity should also return the money to the unsuspecting developers who bought those assets after collecting it from you.
ITS VERY IMPORTANT TO READ END USER LICENSE AGREEMENTS FOR All the things you use to create art, games, etc.
You not only violated Mixamo’s FUSE end user license agreement which you agreed to during the install, you also violated Unity’s Asset Store Publisher Development agreement, the Asset Store EULA, as well as the standard Unity engine EULA which you also agreed to when installing the Unity engine.
Your are VERY lucky Unity hasn’t completely closed your publisher account, removed ALL your assets from the store, and completely banned you from using there engine for use.
Here is some advice -
Create your own content instead of trying to manipulate other people’s content and sell it as your own.
If you want to make some armor packs - there is ample documentation on mixamo’s site how to do that. I’m not linking to anything else, because I’m already tired of performing work that you should be doing yourself. LOOK IT UP.
The armor pieces you modeled on top of the FUSE characters you tried to sell as your own are marginally average at best.
Try to learn how to use Unity correctly. The reason there are black transitions between each MIXAMO animation cycle in the videos above is you don’t know how to put together a proper character controller. This information is also freely available around here and two dozen tutorials on the internet. But don’t steal someone elses stuff and try to sell it as your own. Re-create the content so then it will be your own.
The Blizzard and Witch characters have mesh clipping throughout all the MIXAMO animations. Those can be fixed if attention to detail is applied.
The animations barely work for those characters, with fingers flailing, hands floating in space, and mesh intersections all throughout. That’s because you don’t know how to polish things after they are setup. Try animation layers for your next animation project It will help. LOOK IT UP.
The dynamic hair on the Witch character is terrible. It looks like brown, silly putty, hot mess dripping down and bouncing around her clavicles.
The witch walk cycle is clearly a male walk cycle. It looks horrible on that model.
The particle effect on the staff looks pretty good. Did you create that yourself or did you “borrow” that also from another asset pack?
Try to polish some content before throwing it up - and trying to sell it to honest developers who are looking for quality assets to use in there games. Honestly I can’t see how anybody bought any of your packs.
@Unity_3d1 YOU are the reason the asset submission process takes a long time, and YOU are why people are suspicious about buying assets on the asset store, and it’s unfortunate you were able to get past the initial asset review and get your assets on the store.
Thanks to Unity for pulling these assets.
I’m glad Unity pulled those packs and hope they pull the others you have on the asset store for deceptive practices, and falsification of information. You agree when submitting assets to the store that the asset are your own creation which was clearly a lie. Hopefully Unity rescinds your asset store publishing ability.
It’s unfortunately Unity didn’t catch this during the initial asset review process. Those packs should have never been on the store to begin with.
Why should they pull others packs? the rest of them is a script pack’s and has nothink to do with Human models.
And you saying like i knew im using that i shouldnt. I didt’t know really. ofcause im sad but im a pritty good scripter so I will direct all desire to script pack for now. And again thx for all information.
I bought brothers knights, now cant use it… this really sucks…
You can use it in your own project or game…and cant resell it
are you sure about that? seems odd that if the product was pulled prom the store due to copyright reasons, then why wouldn’t Mixamo be able to sue people for using that said product?
