Looks awesome! But I fear you are asking for way too much. $500 is an insane amount considering there are other ball pool templates for $15-$50. I personally would pay $30 as it feels unfinished. The game does not end after you hit the black ball in for example, there is no hud showing who is winning.etc.

i think the idea of a template is that you get to write the game yourself - there are no ā€˜rules’ in the template (which balls to hit/when the game ends) or scoring - thats upto someone else to put them in there.

For me - the physics feel great (there’s imposed deceleration on the balls which a lot of pool sims miss but it’s boring waiting for balls to stop moving) and I love the way the balls drop into table - I like the 3D movement ā€˜glyph’ too, it’s a neat touch.

Downsides? Cue movement needs a ā€˜fine tune’ option - it’s too jumpy as-is. The same applies to 3D movement around the table too

The ā€˜black glass’ makes it hard to see pocket edges too - perhaps a ā€˜Tron Glow’ around those would be cool??

I suspect you’d have to implement multiple cameras for the 3D game too - because it’s very very hard to play pool from a 3D perspective at the best of times!?

I won’t comment on price because everyone’s idea of value is different - I know there is another Pool Template which is much cheaper but it was also written from an older version of Unity and I suspect - as with all things Unity - it will need a huge amount of kicking to work in Unity now!?

As someone who spent a while making a pool game in Unity - I appreciate the work tho because Unity’s Physics do NOT make that an easy task.

Does this have multiplayer?

Well you could say the same thing (it is just a template) about what you said. I still get the feeling that it is an unfinished template since there is no win or loose system. The physics are top of the range though. It is completely up to the creator what price to sell it at, but I think $500 is way over the limit.

Hi!
thanks for the opinion
this is not a complete game, 8 Ball Pool
this is a template for creating different types of ( Russian Billiard, 9 Ball Pool … )

By the way, what kind of ball pool templates for $15-$50?

Еhe template does not have a multiplayer

I appreciate your opinion
thanks you

This forum I created
for those who are really interested in this template,
who could ask me a question
those who can not really appreciate the difficulty of developing such a template
please do not write
Big thanks

I respect the amount of work you put into your great kit.

These include this one that is $10:

There was another one for I think $40 - $50 but can’t seem to find it atm.

ZeoWorks ,
My template is $500!

What exactly justifies the price here? $500 for non-exclusive use is significantly more than average for any normal kit. Its better than most, but $500 seems too high.

That is my point, personally I think its way too high of a price… And I’m sure most people here can agree with me. Its an amazing quality package, but not $500 amazing.

My template will help develop high quality game (Ball Pool, Billiard) from the standpoint of physics

can win time, money and most importantly guarantee obtained high quality physics

my template works very well on mobile devices

I’m not interested what is price to other assets

Well to be brutally honest, This would get a lot more sales if the price was lesser. I don’t see little to anyone buying it at the current price it is at sadly. Unless you do solid convincing in the assets description (Not just saying ā€œIt will save money and timeā€).

I’m wondering how you evaluate the price for this template?

I’m not downing the project but as a programmer myself, I could rewrite a similar template within a few days if not less. I’ve had lots of experience creating games and using different templates from the asset store. Personally I would say this should be worth around $15 - $50. I have seen/used projects on the asset store with a lot more programming put into it costing almost X10 less than this. It IS the most expensive template on the asset store too. For your benefit I would definitely lower the price and no doubt you’ll get more sales (that is if anyone as actually even bought your template in the first place).

If it helps, I recommend you make a poll asking how much people think it should be worth on the asset store.

Vagho, I agreed with ZeoWorks that your kit is a bit pricey. Having said that, I believed your kit has the best Pool game physics in the asset store (well, the best I’ve seen, period. And I’ve been looking for pool starter kit for quite awhile now). I played your online demo, and I’d pay $100-$150 for that Physics easy.

If you willing to lower the price, I bet you’ll get a lot more sales for sure.

I do have a question. How easy is it to adjust pockets’ size and shape? I found it a bit too difficult to play with what you currently have. I’d like to be able to make the holes bigger (e.g. beginner mode).

Thanks,
Nox
