I’ve read more than once within the Support / Tutorial pages that paying Unity3D developers can use assets included in tutorials in their commercial games.
I want to be 10,000% sure that I am free to use Lerpz / Goober / etc. in my iPhone game.
Yes, you can use any content that we generate unless explicitly forbidden in the EULA that is sometimes included inside the Project folder.
Lerpz and Goober are fair game, but neither one of them are suited for the iPhone since the poly count of both of them is exceedingly high for the device’s capabilities.
iSadist, our debut title, is able to use Lerpz or Goober on the 3GS without issue. How much better suited is Penelope? That is, what’s her poly count as compared to Goober?
Is she rigged up so I can set her up with the built-in ragdoll system?
I’d love to be able to strip down my draw calls and poly count so I can release on the 3G and/or iTouch.
Don’t mean to be too much of a pain, but I see nothing in the EULA precluding me from taking Penelope for my game… Is this correct - is she free for use?
I’ve read somewhere posted by Unity Team members that everything that comes with the Unity package can be used for commercial apps.
Shaders, textures, geometry, everything, but better wait their official answer.
