Current Tutorials.

Trying to get started, but Learn.Unity.com tutorials all reference an old, deprecated, incompatible versions of unity.

Is Unity dying, or is there somewhere else to get tutorials and answers?

What particular tutorials? I can see the main courses (such as the Junior programmer course) has been updated for versions up to 2022.3, so the latest LTS.

The fundamentals of Unity haven’t really changed either. You could learn on an older version and most, if not all of the principles would apply to current versions.

you should be able to download the same version they use, as their archive is extensive

offers Unity versions of 2021.3 or 2019.4
Neither of these are still downloadable, and the example projects they say to load are no longer available.

I’m fairly certain you can still download 2021.3 via the hub as that happens to be a current LTS version…

And old versions as far back as Unity 5 are available to download still on Unity’s archive,.

I’m also fairly certain there is still a 3d Core Template too.

The official tutorials can be finicky at times, but I really kinda like this more free-form approach:

The benefit to this way is you can kinda tailor it to exactly what YOU are interested in learning:

BS… https://unity.com/releases/editor/archive they have all the way back to unity 5

Now I am at home, I can see the latest 2021.3 is very much available on the hub:

And there is of course the 3d core template still available:

So I feel like this is a bit of a PEBKAC problem.

2021.3 LTS is still within its two-years support period, although there’s only a couple months left.

Older versions are still available via the Archive tab all the way back to Unity 5.

I feel invisible :stuck_out_tongue:
