This reminds/looks just like Sega’s Ecco The Dolphin, great job bro. Different main character/fish, better gfx/look. Far from a dumpster fire, get back to work!
Thanks guys! Work is pretty much done for deving. Now i’m just trying to get eyes on it.
This is a lot harder than I anticipated…
But the kind words mean a lot and are very motivating.
@warthos339 Ecco was a huge inspiration for me. Same with E.V.O and the classic flash game “Fishy!”.
Just a heads up, decided to finally see if it ports to mobile well and after a day of porting I can’t believe how well it’s running on my android phone! Been deving in a bit of a cave the past couple years so all these innovations are amazing to me. If anyone wants to try the mobile version of the game there’s a new download link on the main page.
Testament to how usable and dynamic Unity is. I kinda thought I might want to port to phones early in the project and planned accordingly with controls and UI, but to get this all up and running relatively well with no eye for optimizations is a shocker So Kudos to Unity for making porting to other devices so easy.
Thanks for trying it! I JUST uploaded a web build and I am very aware of this issue. Spent the last 7 hours trying to track the shader problem down, it’s very elusive and painful. I will have it fixed up tomorrow one way or another.
Not going to try to fix this stuff, will be making this stuff clean from scratch. Hopefully that fixes it.
Happy to report web build is much more polished now. Working on a minor issue with text popups being too large, but most major issues seem to be fixed…
Hi,
Your game looks nice. I think I’ve missed the link to getting it on Android? Make sure to put this in your portfolio website, eh?
Keep on Creating,
