… and have been having a great amount of fun with it since I got the 30 day free trial. Here is a finished product (scene) I worked on since I started (with the help of a few free asset packs from the forums XD) . ( I love this editor! XD ) But the price is really… really steep for me. =p Just thought I’d post this and show off something I made within a couple hours of knowing about Unity. Thanks everyone at Unity3D.
There is a free version of unity available. Unless you absolutely require some of the Pro features.

Yeah, I saw the free version… I got that first. Then when I went to try and render shadows, it told me that it required the pro version. I feel that without shadows in this day and age of video games, it makes the game seem very plain and simple. But that is just me =p I’ll enjoy the 30 days while it’s around, haha. =p
You can have blob shadows in the free version
NAKar think of the whole thing you can have for free.
No shadows but you can do A LOT with it.
And then, if your product will deserve shadows, you’ll buy the pro version ![]()
BTW compliments for the scene, it is really cool if you know Unity only since some hours!
Also check out the Beast lightmapping: in the free version it is limited to occlusion and shadows, but still very useful!
