Google Play reviews now tied to Google+ Account(End of Anonymous Reviews)

Gone are the days of leaving anonymous review on the Google Play Store. Now, Google’s application store show Google+ profile photos and names on reviews, so no longer can users hide behind some made up user name. Google rolled out a similar feature on YouTube where users could opt to use their real name from Google+ when uploading videos, and now that same feature has arrived on Google Play.

Google Play Is Now No Country for Anonymous Reviewers

Determined Nasty reviewers will make fake accounts to accomplish their objective but this is a step in the right direction by Google

That’s good news - thanks for sharing it. True - determined nasty reviewers will find their ways around it. But I guess for most people, it’ll result in more accountable reviews.

Nasty reviewers won’t care . If you feel robbed of your money, say you spent 5$ on in game credits and they never showed up( or their purchasing power was decreased by an update) you wont mind putting your name out their to vent

What is Google Play?

It’s Google’s marketplace, similar to Apple’s iTunes. You can buy books, movies, music, and Android apps.

I was being sarcastic
android market is terrible place to sell your products.

+1 , its slowly changing , but for now if your developing for android your lucky to break even .
Its great for promo stuff though , like if Coke wants a find coke zero game then you’ll be able to distribute it easily

Ah. You never know on these forums anymore :p. Yeah, but it still beats Windows Phone and Blackberry marketplaces. Oh, and Palm. The iOS app store has definitely proven one of the best marketplaces. When I released an app a while ago I didn’t promote it in the slightest, but people still managed to find it and it got over 1200 downloads (not many, but still pretty good for the first month).
