I have been researching this for several days online and have exhausted all my ideas. I have only been using Unity for about two weeks so any help is greatly appreciated.
Here is the scenario:
- While in Inspector I hover over the Blue Book icon and get the balloon, good
- But when I click on he icon nothing happens, bad (well less than perfect)
Here is my configuration information:
-
MacBook Pro , Retina, Late 2013
-
2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
-
8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
-
Intel Iris 1024 MB Graphics
-
OS X 10.9.5 (13F1096)
-
Unity Version 5.1.1f1 Personal
Thank you.
Mark
Hmm… Can you submit a bug report about that and post the 6-digit bug number here. I’ll prod the QA guys.
Graham - Thank you for your response the case number is 712742.
Hey Mark, I’ve replied to your report, but I will post the answer here as well, in case anyone else wants to know: This issue is already fixed and will be available in one of the future releases of 5.1 version.
I will verify when the next 5.1 update occurs and then post my response here.
Just updated to 5.1.2f1 personal and no change yet. I will reverify on my next upgrade.
Confirmed that it doesn’t work on 5.1.2f1 (e.g. clicking the help icon for Transform component). However have verified that it has been fixed in 5.2.0, which according to Platform roadmaps | Unity will be released in beginning of September. Hope you can wait for this.

Actually, the fix for this has also been backported - it should be in 5.1.3 (or 5.1.2p1 if you can’t wait that long).
