I am making a 2D game and want to create 2D assets which would fit perfectly in my game. I know we can find a variety of free assets on Unity’s asset store but I cannot find what I am looking for and think that it would be best for me to create my own 2D assets.
However, I have no idea how to make them. If you know how to make 2D assets or any great tutorial which shows how to make them, please let me know.
You don’t state what kind of asset you’re talking about. An asset isn’t a single thing, it’s just a generic term.
The 2D forum is not for asking for free stuff or for collaboration though, we have non-commerical collaboration forum here: Collaboration & Jobs - Unity Discussions

Oh my bad. I was talking about making the terrain, characters and the background. And anything else which affects the visuals of the game (including animations).
And I’m not asking for collaboration, I just want to learn how to make them because I really tried searching online but couldn’t find any useful info about creating them.

I know you are looking to create your own, but that can be a daunting task, especially since you are not even sure were to start. A google search of “free 2d assets” will return a treasure trove of useful sites, all with tons of assets.

Use the Unity Asset Store to get some free ones, whether that is Art, Animations, Sound, etc.
You can use OpenGameArt.org as well.
If you want to create some yourself, use Sketchbook or Krita for free 2D design tools. Or use GIMP for free 2D pixel design.
There are some free sound websites like FreeSound.org or you can create your own using Waveform (also has a free version).
If you want to make your own animations in 2D, look up creating Sprite Sheets in YouTube or Google.
