I downloaded 3D models and there all grey?

Do I need a program or software to color it or need a mesh or something similar the models are 3ds files converted

Will a trigger collider put strain on the Physics engine?

Most likely you are only seeing the mesh and no materials. If the model came with materials, it can be as simple as importing said material/texture and dragging it over the model in unity to apply it. You can also check the import settings of the model in unity to see if its just not finding the materials with the current import settings.

Thanks look like i dont have the materails do you know a site where you get the materials with the 3ds file?
