The first two Tutorial Projects won’t download. This is John Lemon’s Haunted Jaunt, and Ruby’s Adventure. The system gives me an error message:
"Opening file failed.
Opening file C:\Users\Any User\AppData\Roaming\Unity\Asset Store-5.x\Unity Technologies\Sample Projects.3d-beginner-143848.tmp.json: The system cannot find the path specified."
The Basic Tutorials and Resources are fine (they download anyway) and so are the other Tutorial Projects.
Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this, or if the issue’s been resolved elsewhere.
Just to rule this out being an intermittent issue, can I ask if you’re still getting the same issue today?
Yes, was still getting it on Windows - have installed to Linux now though and it downed just fine - only to demand that I install a different editor version! (I already have the latest non-beta version).
Could you just confirm for me which version number you’re currently running on to see that error message?
2018.4.19f1 on windows.
Here’s the thing though - I got it working on Linux by upgrading but the Linux version is incredibly un-userfriendly. It doesnt’ have the “Basic Tutorial” Windows unity has and the tutorial projects are incredibly unhelpful, essentially it tells you go look it up on the internet or watch some youtube video. Wouldn’t mind getting it working on windows.
Are you able to provide a screenshot of the specific error in Windows so I can raise this for you internally?
