Load 3d model from resources folder

Hello !
Have a quastion here.
How to load 3d model from Resources folder ?
Currently i have this one:

      var model : GameObject = Resources.Load ("Some3Dmodel");
	Instantiate (model, Vector3.zero,  Quaternion.identity);

and this one produce Some3Dmodel(Copy) model in scene. Looks like Resources.Load (“Some3Dmodel”) already add model to scene but not in Hiearchy…
Need help to understand 3Dmodel loading.
Thanks !

hi Resources
Did you name certainly folder “Resources”?

Shinriyo, looks like the Resource folder is already set because if not, the Resources.Load will not work.

Kasatik, When you instance a model, this returns a clone to the scene… you are instantiating correctly, what is your problem?..

Well you see - when i manually drop mesh to scene it has the name “Some3Dmodel” with code its named “Some3Dmodel(Copy)”. That’s one confused me and would be difficult for further coding. Maybe there are another methods to load models in scene by scripting ?
Thanks for helping.

Thats how its done, it says copy, or clone because it is of the original. Its using the prefab. Thats object oriented programming, using things over and over, again, and again…

use:

var modelInst : GameObject = Instantiate(blablabla);
modelInst.name = “NAME”;

that’s it.

Interesting things - Instantiated mesh already has a name “Some3Dmodel” BUT in Hierarchy it has (Clone) added to the name.
Thanks all for help. SOLVED
