In Unity say I have two Android Phones both not connected to a wireless network and both with no access to internet, How do I connect them for multiplayer? Can Unity inbuilt multiplayer do this? I don’t have pro so other packages is not an option.
BUMP.
It would seem like an incredibly terrible thing if all multiplayer requires an internet connection unless I have Unity pro.
It requires an internet connection.
Prime31 offers an iOS plugin that offers Bluetooth or WiFi multiplayer (neither of which need an internet connection). It should be possible to use Bluetooth on Android, but I don’t know of anyone who provides that, so you may have to create your own.
Do these plugins need Unity Pro? AFAIK custom networking needs socket access?
