I could have sworn that you could get baked lights with Mixed mode selected, as well as real time shadows on non-static objects.
Steps:
-
Create a scene with a plane and a cube on it. Delete the standard directional “sun” light
-
Add a point light to the scene, set it to Mixed, and make shadows Soft
-
Set the plane and cube to Static and bake the scene
-
After baking, add a new cube. Make sure it’s non-static
-
Notice there’s shadows for the baked cube, but not the non-static one
I really thought this was possible. I am using Directional Mode “Directional” under GI in the Lighting tab. Shadows are perfectly fine for the static cube, but not the non-static one.??
Edit
So I found out this is a bug that’s been delayed for all of Unity 5.x
So this means that “Mixed” mode should not be included, correct? If it’s completely useless?
