Naming my game company

Hello everyone,
this is the time where I shape my company from something without a name, to something prestigious. Something that will shape the future for forever. And thus, this is not an easy choice. No. This is something that will stick with me while I shape my destiny!

Ok, enough chit chat. I need to pick a name for my company. But I just can’t land on one! There is too many possibilities! So I ask you for some help.
Can you choose my name for me? I’ve come up with a few, but can’t chose what to go for.
You can also write down the names that you come up with!

So what name should I chose? Answer this survey, answer the poll on this forum (3 choices) or answer in the comments below!

Thanks all!
Really appreciate it, Simon

Googled and double checked that no name is already taken or that there is already a company with a very similar name? You don’t want to get confused with others.

It is a good idea to read the names aloud and think on their meaning. You want to excite and entertain potential customers and partners with the name. You can add “Games” at the end but there are also other good suffixes that can be used…

Note, this is just examples of personal observations and other people may have other reactions to the names…

Flat Games - Sounds flat… makes me associate the company with something boring.
Killscreen Games - The “games” part doesn’t flow over my tongue… “entertainment” worked better for me and almost gave me a chuckle when I thought about the meaning. On the other hand… do you want a company name that starts with the word “kill”?

There are similar thoughts surrounding many of the other names and have you given your logotype any thought? That is a big topic of its own and very important to consider.

In this regard… Snowflake Games/Entertainment isn’t bad… it can be made to flow over the tongue and is very easy to illustrate. A snowflake can easily be drawn with black & white colors, it is easy to scale and lends itself to different needs of modifications that might be necessary when you want use it on everything from company signs and game splash screens to press, ads and business cards but the drawback is that a snowflake is far from original. There is also a chance that you will encounter other companies that you might get mixed up with.

Choosing a name isn’t easy…

Pancakelands.

No it is certainly not!
I have tried to google almost all of them, and no immediate results pop up. But there are however some companies that have almost the same names. Such as snowflake for example.

Also, I forgot to mention that it doesn’t matter what suffix I use! As long as it “flows over your tongue” as you said. I just went with “Games” for everything and didn’t think more about it.

Flat Games and Killscreen games are some names that I most probably won’t choose. Because of the reasons you stated there (just didn’t want to leave them out when creating this post).

Haven’t given my logo that much thought to be honest. But as you said, it has to be easy and must go well with a black/white backdrop.

Thank you for your input sir!
Btw, starting to grow fond of Snowscape Games/Interactive/Entertainement

This isn’t really the place for this kind of thing, so closing this. Remember to google whatever you chose to see if it’s been taken, also check the domain names too.
