Nope Gunzilla Games use the other game engine.:face_with_spiral_eyes:

Gunzilla Games to Develop New AAA Shooter IP Using Unreal Engine

OK are there any other great blockbuster movie directors that we could recruit to make a AAA game in Unity?

Interesting that despite being massively into unity and investing a lot into it, he has ended up moving to an unreal focused studio

Adam was made in 2016 so that was 5 years ago and Heretic the latest demo (2020) was directed by Veselin Efremov (IMDB) the writer of Adam.

I think it was more the technical director’s decision to play it safe as a lot of FPS games have been made in it.

Sure but blomkamp has spoken at length about how interested he is in game engine(s) as in plural, I know here in unity land we only focus and hear about the news from unity regarding his studio so it seems like thats all they focus on, but I dont think Neil himself is beholden or smitten with any one engine in general

But yeah its a great fit for the project they are doing

Certainly was not implying this is a sign of anything, just was interesting that he is now using unreal - its another win for games industry as I was hoping eventually he would move more into actual games and less into movie like experiences he has been doing in last few years

Maybe they will release a mobile version using Unity?

That would be a lot of work when they could just release a mobile version using unreal. Unreal is perfectly fine on mobile for non 2D stuff, hence how fortnite etc is on mobile.

It would make more sense to do that then re-engineer everything in a new engine which would need more talent hired due to it being unlikely that the unreal developers will be as profficient in unity and vice versa.

If they are using unreal for the main game, you can assume they will for the mobile one, especially if its a shooter or 3D action game etc.

He did not do the Adam demo.

He did parts 2 and 3 of Adam, which IMO are so inferior to the first part in every aspect it’s not even funny.
