Sure but blomkamp has spoken at length about how interested he is in game engine(s) as in plural, I know here in unity land we only focus and hear about the news from unity regarding his studio so it seems like thats all they focus on, but I dont think Neil himself is beholden or smitten with any one engine in general
But yeah its a great fit for the project they are doing
Certainly was not implying this is a sign of anything, just was interesting that he is now using unreal - its another win for games industry as I was hoping eventually he would move more into actual games and less into movie like experiences he has been doing in last few years
That would be a lot of work when they could just release a mobile version using unreal. Unreal is perfectly fine on mobile for non 2D stuff, hence how fortnite etc is on mobile.
It would make more sense to do that then re-engineer everything in a new engine which would need more talent hired due to it being unlikely that the unreal developers will be as profficient in unity and vice versa.
If they are using unreal for the main game, you can assume they will for the mobile one, especially if its a shooter or 3D action game etc.
