Have you checked out gamelaunched.com, they are a new crowdfunding site exclusive to gaming, they accept all game genres, and also offer mentors and a marketplace to sell your game after. What a cool site, just thought I would pass it along.
Seeing as how this is your only post ever, I’m going to go ahead and assume you work for gamelaunched.com
If you’re trying to promote your product, why not at least give us the elevator pitch? What makes gamelaunched a better choice than Kickstarter or Indiegogo?
EDIT: Found one key difference, they take a 20% larger cut than Kickstarter (6% vs KS’s 5%)
I disagree; I posted not only the relative difference but the actual values for a reason (to give everyone as much information as possible). However, these services should be compared relative to one another - every cost matters, and if you aren’t comparing the cost of doing business with two different entities honestly you’re doing yourself a disservice. The cost of doing business with GameLaunched is 20% higher - that’s not an exaggeration, that’s what it is, and it’s not a nominal difference.
As it stands, GameLaunched is a more expensive service. They also lose a great deal of added value do to the fact that it’s so new and virtually unheard of (consumer trust is a huge part of why Kickstarter is more attractive than say, Indiegogo). I’m just curious what the elevator pitch is for their added value - what warrants putting the time and effort into running a successful GameLaunched campaign as opposed to the alternatives? Running a successful campaign is not easy, it’s a lot of work - and it’s not something you should do in multiple places for the same project (confuses backers, innately dishonest…).
I agree with Kyle, the 20% mark is necessary. Sure, “it’s just 1% more”, how does that translates into a 1 million funding campaign? That’s 10k extra.
With Indie GoGo, they give you the ability to do partial funding.
With kickstarter, you get a huge audience.
What does this give us, other than the potential to be part of a scam (because I’m always a skeptical and a cynic.) To be honest, pretending to be an unrelated individual touting the new service is already enough for me to scratch this as a scam. There is little they can do to change MY opinion now (well it would be easy to skink further by denying they are related.) And that name… Yanksfan…
Anyways, there seems to be no benefit for this site relative to the other big two, and there is a LOT of risk associated (just like you get with any new service that takes your money) with no actual statement to tell us why we should even trust them in the first place.
I suggest u the website for crowd funding. Most of the peoples are worried about finding crowd funding sites, Because there is many scam and legit websites. My friend suggested me this website. fanblaze I hope u got the right place for crowd funding.
