I just recently got the free version of unity and when i open it up there are no words anywhere except for the top bar. When i try and type stuff in boxes nothing shows up. What do i do?

That is very strange. All I can suggest is standard troubleshooting things like reinstalling. Maybe before that, try changing the view mode. I’ve had Unity’s GUI bug out a little before and switching between view modes corrected it. Since you can’t see the view mode bar, it is at the top right of the screen and has a little down arrow on it, try switching between them maybe? That’s about all I can think of trying

Do you have an unusual system font running as part of your Windows theme? Are your video drivers up to date?
