Planetary Weather (iOS Science App)

I just released a new iOS app, Planetary Weather. It’s not a game, but rather a 3D Solar System app that has some science info as well as giving a good estimate for daily planetary weather conditions (using formulas, NASA doesn’t make the info available or doesn’t record it)

I think it may be one of the most graphically advances solar system visualisations on a mobile platform, due largely to the fantastic Space Graphics Toolkit assets by Carlos Wilkes.

Here are some screenshots:

And here is a link to the app: ‎Planetary Weather on the App Store

The app is free, but has some In-App purchases to view all the planets and the moons.
You can get the Gas Giant pack for free by using the code: unity3d

Hope you like it

Looks awesome man, I like how well polished it feels.

I think you should make the swipe to change planets feature a bit more obvious though, because for the first few minutes I thought that Mercury was the only planet you can visit without getting any of the packs.

Glad you like it, means a lot.

I’m working on an immediate update (since the in app purchases refuse to work…) and I’ll be adding chevron buttons as well to show you can move through planets with the UI.

Update 1.1 Just released, adding Chevron Buttons to the UI, making it easier to switch between planets.
