Programming a Dual Axis Game Controller

Hi, I am a bit new to game design. I bought a Logitech game controller that closely resembles an XBOX 360 controller with two joysticks.

The left joystick automatically will walk the FPS. But the right joystick does nothing for mouse follow. I can manually program it in the controller’s software, but want to do this in the actual game…any suggestions?

Please speak to me like I am mentally challenged, just getting started with Java scripting!

Thank you so much, I am an instant fan of Unity 3d!

Having no replies is not fun. Bump.

Potentially the right stick maps to different axis than “normal ones” do.
if you build a standalone player you can go into the input mapping (or you can do it globally within the editor in the input settings) and map them there to see which ones would be the right ones for the right stick

Yes, I figured it out. The right controller uses both the 3rd and 4th axis. Thank you.
