Question about IOS development consoles

If I code a game in C# for IOS, and build the game for IOS does it automatically change the code to objective-C?
for consoles, can macs be used to develop for them? Also will all C# code switch to platform specific code?

No… The C# is bytecoded in CLR, which is interpreted by Mono/Unity. It’s platform independent.

And yes, you can make Mono C# on Mac too.

So I need to learn objective-C for IOS development?

Only if you want to write native code… If you just code in Unity, any of the Unity’s supported language will work just fine.

Not if you’re planning on using Unity, no. That’s what LightStriker was explaining - C# gets compiled to a platform-independent format which then gets interpreted(ish) inside the Unity runtime.

The same goes for Unity’s other languages, too. (And is generally true of .NET and Mono.)

Ok, thanks for helping me!
