The Monsters

These are 3d game enemies / assets mostly of the insectoid persuasion.

There are actually more in the works, and I will update this thread as the final 3 are released (a termite, a lance-ant, and thorny wasp).

Please note that these monsters are simple in purpose. They are not final bosses with a plethora of animations. They are simple mobs with a small set of animations. I may include more animations later, depending on popularity and requests, but that is not part of the plan now as I wish to create some new things.

About the Monsters

The majority of these monsters find inspiration in old games and sci fi concepts. As we all know, Video Game Culture has a very high priority of always producing original, unique, concepts, never ever inspired from any other game or movie. LOL. But yes, try hard (or not so hard) you can find the roots of most of these creatures in older entertainment.

I love scary bugs. Zerg are king (or queen?).

The previews are painted derivatives of screenshots, just for branding. Its a thing I do.

Remember, as per the title of this thread, I am giving Vouchers until the end of January seeking honest reviews (ie, no flattery needed) … plus you are welcome to use the assets for your projects indefinitely, of course.

So far the reports seem good … it seems I might be switching the materials in the future, but this is a small matter.

Well, I couldn’t stop and then I used my own prefab painter YAPP to paint spiders :smile:

Love it! Not necessary, but what would be awesome is if you could just add some random speed multiply parameter to the animator which could be set in the inspector. Just so that multiple gameobjects don’t move at the same rate.

It blends nicely. Let me know if the animations accommodate. The dungeon scene is beautiful.

I’ll go a bit further on the parent class to allow modifications like that. Feel free to message me on the particulars. I intended to increment all the creatures and the base class as needs arose.

Also, that scene is pretty creepy. The atmosphere is perfect.
