Sumer Deal! 25% off sale! Maila, the sexy animated character

It just needs time to get done, but if never started at all how could something enhance. Needing a team ? Well of course a team always helps to get more work done faster but needed to do this ? Not really, you are propably skilled enough. Look at this guy. Basically same I ask for, all done alone it seems, plus including programming which I don’t ask for of course.

The only reason I don’t use his system is that it’s not the look I need but he certainly does a nice job there.
So now you have higher poly and more realistic character aproach which takes more time to create. But you have the skill to create those and no one asks to have tons of sets available at once.

Also I’m no fan of UMA focus. Never saw a good looking screenshot of it’s characters yet and was more looking to use Fuse instead. But having it aquired by Adobe who knows what happens there next so a full solution not depending on third party is welcome for me. It would be ok to have UMA and Fuse as additional options to boost your sales I think but if you focus on one only you propably loose the customers using the other or none of those. And also if you create a good base you could still enable other artists to make additional clothing for your sets if you worry about getting enough content offered. But I think it’s just a question of time until you have it running good and can start adding clothing sets.

But I understand you first need time to get infos about mecanim either and I don’t really expect anything big soon. But I’m following of course. If anything I can help with testing just drop me a line.

Best Regards

You cant use Fuse instead of UMA. Thats like saying your going to use Maya or 3D Max instead of Unity.
Fuse and UMA are different apps. Fuse is a real nice character and clothing generator. Recently bought by Adobe so you are right to be cautious about its future availability.
What UMA does that Fuse don’t is allow for real-time character creation and modification. This is a huge benefit over Fuse for any type of rpg, or mmo type game, or any game that allows for character generation and real-time character modification.
Fuse is nice but it lacks the real-time functionality UMA offers.

I appreciate your encouragement Ivendar. As I told you I will more clothes to the character, here I show you a little preview of the next update:

Of course I can use it instead and compare if it’s about different looking characters what I talked about. I did not compare any other functions about those two solutions. Yeah there’s such differences like the one you mentioned but no one prevents people to import Fuse character, drag out their clothes and create prefabs from those to use on another character with a similar base body. Just look at the link to Ubrin before, that’s not UMA either but changeable parts and the old tutorial for character customization is not UMA as well. Same would be possible using Fuse as a base. And for morphing there’s again other solutions. I don’t say it’s elegant or anything but UMA has it’s problems too or can you finally create Prefabs out of the box for example ? For my info you again need third party solution there as well and it’s overall more complicated if not too skilled. But dragging in something on a slot and resetting it’s position is not difficult at all. And the characters from UMA don’t look that good. Of course I might have missed something so I welcome it if you show me as good looking UMA characters like I can see Fuse characters. If I ever see I for sure start taking closer look at UMA as well.

I very well understand that you try to convince Alkalor to create stuff for UMA, would be a great win for such. I also don’t say nooo don’t do this but I say people should not be forced to use it and propably it’s best for his sales to offer it for more than one solution.

Thanks @alkalor
Some idea I think about is. Is it possible to give her another boots version without high heels too maybe ? ^^
Area the clothing parts btw. meant to replace the bodyparts or put above ? How much time it takes for you to create such a clothing part like those two you posted ?

Yes, it´s possible to make boots without heels so high but is a bit complicated make them interchangeable, low boots needs other bones, then I have to export two different versions, for the next version I’ll include it.
The versions of clothing I´ve published are in high poly, make them in high poly, projecting in low poly and to make the textures takes about one week. Right now I have a lot of work in another project may and take longer to publish this update, I will inform you the date of the update soon.
