The most boring game ever is a hit with players

The ‘most boring game ever’ has turned out to be quite a hit…

Unless there is something special about the game, which from the description there isn’t, it just shows that actually the game can be irrelevant if you can get the marketing and free publicity of the internet working for you. However there are likely 100 other games, just as boring or simply bad like this that weren’t picked up by the internets and thus didn’t become a hit.

Feels to me more like a self-fullng prophecy on this, where by news outlet(?) reports the most boring game ever, developer gets lots of hits, developer sends out press release about number of hits, more news outlets report it etc. Which is why I didn’t even bother checking out the game.

Its obviously interesting from a discovery point of view, but not original from a marketing standpoint and I’m not entirely sure its original in terms of game design either.

But how does it compare to “Desert Bus”?

Or street cleaning simulator

Oh… that one has a nighttime mode. nice…

Do they have it so if you get out of line somebody can save your spot? Are their cutters? This could actually be a good game.

Its like farming simulator

there is too few games like this, so its a success.
its a “niche” game

Hey, Farming Simulator was actually a great game. The physics wouldn’t keep up if you decided to go crashing around, but when played as intended it was a great experience.

This one, played properly is still a painful experience for masochists. I would compare it to Surgeon Simulator, they’re so bad that they’re good again. Make a watching grass grow simulator. Paint drying simulator has been done, sorry. Bonus points if you can get physics into play like Probably Archery.

Yeah but I bet they won’t play it for long, and unless its a paid app that means it won’t make much money unless it keeps going viral. they might be right the next game you can say from the developer of waitinginline hmm

Somebody should just create a loading screen with a spinning logo and an ever changing text giving (mis-)information about what assets the “game” is currently loading, making up words from a dictionary of items.

Counterstrike is a hit, this isn’t a hit, this is a joke and people find it amusing: working as intended.
