EDIT: solved! after trying everything, simply doing a full uninstall of unity and a subsequent clean install fixed the problem.
So after upgrading to 4.3 I seem to have lost the ability to undo, I checked in preferences and other places to see if some option was disabled preventing this but to no avail, so anyway here are the images depicting my problem.
The original cube unmoved on the left.
After moving the cube and attempting to undo the option is grayed out, the shortcut Ctrl+z does not work either.
Hmm haven’t run into this problem. I thought maybe you had the hotkey CTRL-Z mixed up with CTRL-Y but it must just be really late and these beers are taking a toll.
I’m guessing this must be isolated to Mac or some obscure project configuration or setting.
You might want to just try restarting Unity and MonoScript. I’ve noticed that there is some unsual behavior going on in 4.3 that can be fixed by restarting it.
I’ve noticed quite a few strange things in 4.3 already, but overall it seems like a big improvement and looking forward to experiment with some of the nice things I saw in the patch notes.
Thanks for the reply, I’m on windows 7 with all the current updates. And restarting unity, mono-development, even just restarting my full computer has not fixed this. Perhaps I will re-install unity and see if that helps
So I decided to do a full re-install of unity and now the undo feature works perfectly, so if anyone else experiences this problem try doing that.
