Unity 3d 5.2.2 the editor scene is very laggy !!

hi
I have update now to the newest version 5.2.2f1 and now i have verry very laggy editor scene.
I use fraps to see the fps its about 150 fps and drop to 30 fps when i use my AWSD ??
And on unity3d 4.6 newest version i have no problems with the fps and it have more than 300fps.

System:
windows 7 prof. i7 4790k gtx980 ti super jetstream , 16 gb ram

Does it happen in an empty project with an empty scene? Or is it in an actual project? If it is an actual project, are you using editor extensions from the Asset Store?

hi i use a empty scene and a empty project.

Same here.

wasd keys causing a major lag. Empty scene or not.
Other users have reported this as well.

Do you mean the arrow keys to navigate in the scene view? WASD doesn’t work in the scene view.

scene + right click + wasd to move in the scene. That is what I use from day 1.

Right click is an important detail, because WASD doesn’t work along. But with an editor extension, it could be achieved. It’s not my intention to be annoying. A lot of editor extensions seem to have used let’s call it “special ways” in Unity 4.x to get things running and with the update to Unity 5.x those caused weird issues, among them performance issues in the editor, e.g. because the console is being spammed with error messages.
I have seen it so many times that people said they are not using editor extensions, but it turned out they did use outdated stuff which introduced major issues.

right @elias_t but when you use the scroll from the mouse no fps drops.
But i think will using a older 5.x version and testing it.
I have a older version on my laptop and this 5.x works very well its version 5.1.3

We are talking about a dead empty scene here. With no scripts on the horizon.

edit: The issue occurs on windows and not on MacOS.

So i found a solution for that bug i use now the version 5.1.3 on my pc and now i have no more fps drops all fps about 330fps

The other solution would be to submit a bug report to Unity if you can clearly say in which version the issue was introduced.

Edit: Or check the issue tracker:

For anyone interested, I updated the ati/amd drivers to the latest beta radeon-crimson-15.11 and the lag is no more there.

nice but for nvidia same bug and the fps drop very low with a gtx980 ti

I am also getting this bug. Occasionally the scene will lag and moving around the scene becomes very annoying. 8GB ram. nvidia gtx970. i5-4590
