Is there a new version of Unity Remote for Unity 3. I can’t seem to find it any where if there is.
Its not in the download, I have just been through my project making the updates to my iPad game to get it to run successfully in Unity 3, but the pre version 3 Unity Remote doesn’t connect so I am a bit at a loss.
I can see that there is a version somewhere as you lucky beta testers have been talking about it but I can’t seem to find a copy any where.
Thanks, will give it a try, I may need to update my xcode version first by the looks of it. After working with a the remote for 1.7 i’m really looking forward to it.
The Remote project in 3.0.0f5 is set to iOS SDK 4.0 btw; if you have the latest xcode/sdk you’ll have 3.2 and 4.1 only (assuming you just downloaded the recent version and not any older versions at least). You’ll need to go into the project and change it to use 4.1 or you’ll keep getting “Base SDK Missing”
I just downloaded and ran the remote from the above file with Unity 3 Basic, and iOS Basic. I am getting the error “iPhone license is not valid” on the Unity Remote when trying to connect to Unity 3…
I managed to install on the iPad. but it works intermittently. I can’t instal on my iPhone to test until I have the latest xcode as my phone has 4 I am hoping it will work better on the iPhone than it does on the iPad. There seems to be a lot of changes to compensate for in upgrading to 3, been a busy 24hrs
I have just compiled the the Unity Remote 3 and got it working on my iPad. It connects fine - the only problem is that the streamed content on the iPad is landscape, which makes testing a bit difficult, since the app I am developing is portrait.
Has anyone else had this problem? And do you have any ideas about solutions.
I am running the remote on my iphone now rather than the iPad. Its seems more stable than the remote with 1.7 (ie no assert string nightmare bomb out ) but I found running with the iPad was a little disappointing. And in general accelerometer updates seem less consistent than in the old version. But I am pretty happy with it I guess, its never going to be as good as actually publishing to device.
