UnityRemote (iPhone) Alternative

Hi there!
I have an iphone but I don’t have any Mac Computer (I will buy next year) I want to (Test) my game in my PC (windows) for iphone the problem is that unityremote (iphone) does not work on windows, :frowning: I know that for windows I have to have an android with unityremote for android. but i cant buy an android phone just for testing, because i want to create games for iphone.

I want to know is there any alternative to unityremote that should work for iphone on windows?:face_with_spiral_eyes:

Any help is appreciate;)

THANKS

nope. All of the iOS stuff is exclusive to mac.

Also unity remote just allows you to test controls and doesn’t give an accurate feel of how it would actually be on device.

what do you mean by that? is it only shows the controls or it also showed the graphic (2D/3D game enviroment, characters etc… )with it.:face_with_spiral_eyes:

It only shows the game screen at a very low resolution so that you can press on the correct part of the screen. And the touch events are updated at a lower frequency, and are not as reliable as on a full build. The Remote is very useful, but is no substitute for testing on a real device.

Thanks, so is there any other [Alternative] way? i found one brass monkey but it doesn’t shows the game like unity remote, anyone know one that work will:face_with_spiral_eyes:

There is no good alt way. Even using only the remote is bad since it does not tell how your game is performing on mobile devices. I’ve seen it several times here and elsewhere when people have made a mobile game on a computer only using emulators or remote for testing without ever trying on any device. Then they have made a lot of useless work using too much stuff so the frame rate is horrible or the game wont even start when its using too much memory

You need to either get a mac or a cheap Android device. You know to test on a iOS device it costs 99$ a year so Android might come cheaper during dev phase.
