I have a bone to pick with Unity Hub, and I’m not sure where the “Feature Request” should go:
The less technically educated among our team (IE most) often have to battle with using the right version of Unity with Unity Hub. The Hub correctly identifies the version our project should be used against via the version file. BUT. If that version is just 1 minor version old, Hub will not show it in the Installs UI. It only shows the most recent major versions.
Isn’t the whole point of the Hub to stop this kind of madness? Users should be able to simply hit an “INSTALL” button next to the project in the Project view if they don’t have a specific version installed.
Yes, it would be very nice if the Hub would just install the needed version (after a prompt).
For now, as a workaround, you can manually tell Hub to install any version you want from the download archive: Download Archive
